Light up Your Kitchen

I just got finished putting the lights all around the kitchen. The kids so love it and it gives the kitchen such a festive feel. Lights in the kitchen you ask?

One of the first things my mom, Karene, does to decorate the house for Christmas is to get out the strands of the smaller multi-colored lights and put them around the whole kitchen. I always loved that as a kid! It gives the kitchen such a neat ambiance. She would string the lights up under the cabinets and around all the windows.

She also puts a Christmas tree in the kitchen. And it's no small tree. It's a regular size tree! I can't quiteget my hubby to let me put a tree in the kitchen yet. I'm going to finally do it at some point. My mothier-inl-law had collected the Hershey's ornaments every year and gave them to me right before she died. I think it'd be fun to have a Hershey tree. You know what! I'm just going to do it. How can he complain when it's decorated with all his mom's ornaments.
