I don't know about you, but I just can't seem to get my act together this Christmas. I usually get the tree done in a couple of days - the tree is still a mess. Boxes are still all over my house. All the Christmas cookies are already gone, and I just can't seem to be able to make more. I'm even starting to play hooky from Holiday parties cause I just cannot make another "treat". And I cannot go out and get more gifts. I don't even have all my shopping done for out of town relatives whose presents need to get shipped. The kids haven't seen Santa and Santa hasn't done his shopping yet. AHHHHH!!!! I feel bad. My kids can tell it's an "off" Christmas cause they keep saying "Nothing's the way it usually is." I wonder if my mom ever had an "off" Christmas. I doubt it. I remember everything always being so perfect. The decorations were all done, the tree was perfect, we had dinner parties all the time with lots and lots of cookies. We went to lots of parties. And mom never seemed frazzled. My aunt, her sister, was another story. I remember my mom having to go over to her house on Christmas Eve to help her wrap packages. I must be more like my aunt.
So I've decided whatever I have done for Christmas this year, is going to have to be good enough for everyone. I can't be Karene this Christmas - in fact I'll never be Karene. Anyone else having an "off" chaotic Christmas?

You're not the only one. Our tree has been up since Thanksgiving and still isn't decorated.
